Pizza Night

There are many great things about pizza, not least that it's simple to make and can be easily tailored to suit anyone's tastes — get creative with your toppings and the possibilities are almost endless.

Hosting a pizza night as a fundraiser is easy to organize, and there are a couple of ways you can go about it: you could choose to speak to a local pizzeria or restaurant and get them to provide all of the pizzas for your event, which can then be sold by the pie or by the slice. Turn it into a real social event — you might want to show a movie at the same time, for example.

Alternatively, if you have a suitable facility (or can borrow or rent one), host a make-your-own pizza night for added fun. You're going to need a kitchen and a large oven to begin with, then a stack of frozen crusts to make the bases for the pizzas themselves. Get hold of pre-cut, packaged, or canned toppings from a grocery store or club store (for a volume discount) and let your guests get imaginative with some unique creations and combinations.

Go down this route and you can charge by the pie or ask for a flat entry fee. Make sure you remember to bring beverages, napkins and plates.
