As kids all you want to do is go outside, run around and play games. There's no reason why you can't keep on doing that and raise funds for your organization at the same time with a field day fundraiser.
All that's required is a big, open space (preferably a grassy one), a few supplies, and as many participants as you can attract.
Put on some outdoor events: a three-legged race, a water balloon toss, and the traditional tug-of-war can all be fun. Add a selection of childhood games such as red rover, duck-duck-goose and freeze tag, and you have a day that's full of fun for people of all ages (you might want to keep adults and kids apart, depending on the game).
As for the fundraising aspect, charge a flat fee for people wanting to participate, or charge smaller entry fees for each event and game you do.
Make sure you remember the refreshments — people are going to be hot and tired and it's a great way to add to your profiles. Keep it simple with cookies and punch or put on a real feast with barbecues, desserts, and sodas — it's up to you which way you go.
