Field Day

Remember when you were a kid and it was a daily goal to get outside, run around, and play games? Who says you can't do that now, and raise money for your group at the same time? You can, with a field day fundraiser! All you need is a big, open, preferably grassy space, just a few supplies, and participation. Organize some fun outdoor events like a three-legged race, water balloon toss, and tug-of-war. Throw in some childhood games like red rover, duck-duck-goose, and even freeze tag, and have separate competitions for adults and kids, and you've got a day full of fun for everyone. You can either charge a flat fee to participate in the field day, or charge smaller entry fees per event and game. Don't forget the refreshments. Not only are they a great addition to a field day, it's a great way to make some extra money. You can keep it simple with just cookies and punch, or go all out with a barbecue, desserts, and sodas. Be sure to include water. All that running around will make everyone thirsty!
